The Church Street Holiday Stroll is a longtime Vienna tradition featuring live holiday music, a tree lighting led by Vienna Mayor Linda Colbert, a special visit from Santa Claus, and great deals from Church Street businesses.

New this year is the gingerbread wonderland!

As you stroll down Church Street to visit businesses and enjoy the firepits and marshmallow roasting stations, this year you’ll also find gingerbread ornament decorating stations. Pick up your ornament at a participating business or visit the decoration stations for wood ornaments and all of the supplies you need to create something special: paint markers, bows, stickers, and more.

Gingerbread Ornament Competition: Bring your decorated ornament to the Town of Vienna tent (across from the Freeman Store) by 6:50 p.m. to officially submit it for judging. Prizes will be awarded in several categories to ornament artists of all ages. Winners will be announced at 7 p.m. at the event by Mayor Linda Colbert. Winners will receive a pack of gift cards to local businesses.

Don't forget to complete your visit to Gingerbread Wonderland with a selfie or festive family photo at our gingerbread house arch at the end of Church Street near Lawyers Road.

We’re excited to introduce Passport to Vienna, a program for Small Business Weekend starting on November 30.

Passport to Vienna encourages the community to explore local businesses by collecting stamps from participating stores for a chance to win prizes. It only takes five stamps to be entered to win!

You can pick up a blank passport at any of the participating businesses below.

Once you have at least five stamps in your passport, bring your completed passport to the Church Street Holiday Stroll and turn it in at the Town of Vienna tent. If you aren't planning to attend the Stroll, you can turn your completed passport in at the Vienna Community Center on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

Once you turn in your completed passport, you’ll be entered to win a gift card to a local business.

While we’re year-round champions for the small businesses in the Town of Vienna, Small Business Saturday is like our Super Bowl!

It happens annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving across the U.S. The goal is to raise awareness for shopping small and to increase foot traffic ahead of the holiday season. Head to the Town of Vienna for a full day of small business fun on 11/25.

Please join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department (VVFD) as their team unveils gorgeous renovations to the upstairs meeting hall. While many Vienna community members associate this space with the weekly bingo game, it’s also available for events. The VVFD rents out its meeting hall to individuals, local businesses, community groups, and organizations.

The VVFD is hosting an open house to celebrate the new space at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14. This event is co-hosted with the Vienna Business Association and doubles as a VBA mixer. Mayor Colbert will perform a ribbon cutting ceremony during the event.

There will be exhibitor tables for vendors in the event space to showcase how this space could be used for fun events in the future. Light refreshments will be provided. 

Come celebrate the grand reopening of Clarity, a popular restaurant in the Town of Vienna.

Vienna Mayor Linda Colbert will be joined by Town Council and other Town officials to mark the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony. on Thursday, November 9 at 5 p.m.

Clarity is a unique and sophisticated restaurant that features a gourmet prix fixe four-course dinner tasting menu that changes frequently. Guests can also enjoy the menu a la carte for lunch and dinner.

The team at Clarity aims to showcase the best seasonal offerings, largely sourced from a close network of local farmers and suppliers from across the country. Everything is made in-house whatever possible: from charcuterie & bread to jams, juices and pickles.

Please join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Massage Elements Vienna’s new look after some exciting new renovations and improvements. The team at Massage Elements wants to share their full menu with you. Each treatment room will be themed to feature a specific service or therapy, like aromatherapy, chair massage, cupping, hot stones, and more. Staff will be available to teach you more and answer your questions.

Since 1946, the Town of Vienna has hosted a Halloween parade for area families. Now held rain or shine on Wednesday evening the week before Halloween, the parade includes floats and other forms of entertainment marching down Maple Avenue, from Branch Road to Center Street. The 2023 Halloween Parade theme is: Cartoons and Comics!

Please join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Norah Boutique, which opened on Maple Ave earlier this spring. Business owner Norah hopes to cater to Vienna residents who want access to beautiful, high-quality clothing at an affordable price. Norah is offering 10% off store-wide during the ribbon cutting.

The fun is happening on Tuesday, October 24 at 12 p.m.

Chillin’ on Church is the hottest block party around and fun for the whole town! Held every third Friday from June through September on historic Church Street, the event includes food, local beer and wine, music, and family-friendly activities. Admission is free. Juneteenth Celebration and LAM Kick-off at First Baptist Church

Join us on Memorial Day weekend for live music, craft vendors, amusement rides, children’s entertainment, and a Memorial Day ceremony. Businesses and organizations are invited to apply to participate as vendors or sponsors for the event, which is hosted by the Rotary Club of Vienna.

Join us on Church Street the Monday after Thanksgiving to take in the sights and sounds of the holiday season and meet Santa Claus at the Freeman Store and Museum.

Shop for a variety of handmade gifts (or buy something for yourself) at this temporary market, which features local artisans selling jewelry, home gifts, art, and more.

Join us for a series of programs and events that commemorate the passage of the U.S. Constitution's 13th, 14th, 15th, and 19th Amendments, which protect fundamental rights such as freedom, equal protection under the law, and the right to vote. The series kicks off with a Juneteenth celebration on June 18. Businesses and organizations can provide support as sponsors.

The hottest block party around takes place on historic Church Street. It features food, beer and wine, music, and family-friendly activities. Admission is free. The Town invites applications to participate as a vendor or performer.

Gather with friends and neighbors on the Town Green to enjoy music from a wide range of genres. These free, outdoor concerts are held each Friday evening throughout the summer. Applications from performers are accepted January 1–31 of each year.

Get fresh at the Vienna Farmers Market, managed by the nonprofit Optimist Club of Greater Vienna. With rare exceptions, vendors at this market must have grown, raised, baked, or made the products they sell at the market.

It's the ultimate win-win! For diners, it's a chance to take advantage of ViennaVA Restaurant Week deals and support the Town’s 80+ restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert eateries. For restaurants, it's an opportunity to boost their visibility and customer base.
